2012 YoungCuts Film Festival presents Best Film Award to Galeana No. 8
The YoungCuts Film Festival concluded its 11th edition on Saturday, October 13th by awarding Galeana No. 8 the award for Best Film. The Festival presented its Top 100 International short films over 8 screenings in the J. A. De Sève Theatre in Concordia University on Friday, October 12th and Saturday, October 13th.
During the screenings, the Festival presented awards in twelve different categories:

Best Teen Film: Mugged by Francesca Abbondanza-Bergeron (Canada)
Best Master Class Film: Step Right Up by Benjamin Bee (UK)
Best Short Short Film: Chronoscope by Dominic Remiro (Canada)
Best Documentary: The Beautiful Dead by Spencer Ryerson (Canada)
Best Animated Film: Ollie The Day Owl by Janelle Santner (USA)
Best Editing/Editor: [Aw'suh'm] by Michael Glasner (USA)
People's Choice Award: Those Forgotten by Alyssa Marie Buchanan (Canada)
Best Director: The Shed by Jon Moy (UK)
Best Québec Film: Le Chevreuil by Rémi St-Michel (Canada)
Best Canadian Film: Swallowed by Stephen Dunn (Canada)
Best Film: Galeana No. 8 by Andres Perez-Duarte (USA/Mexico)
