Dam Short Film Festival and YoungCuts Team Up

The Dam Short Film Festival and YoungCuts team up with new promotional service for filmmakers.

The Dam Short Film Festival and YoungCuts have teamed up to introduce a new and free promotional service for filmmakers. The service gives filmmakers step-by-step instructions on how to promote their Official Selection in a film festival.

Filmmaker Promo Guide YoungCuts developed the instructional guide and press release template for filmmakers to use. The Dam Short Film Festival now provides the tool to its officially selected filmmakers to promote their involvement in the festival, which is celebrating its 10th Anniversary Festival, February 12-16, 2014 in Boulder City, Nevada.

"It's critical that filmmakers promote their film festival participation, via social media and other media in a systematic and efficient way.  These tools help them do it. The Dam Short Film Festival is a great short film festival, that continues to innovate", YoungCuts President, Jay Moulton said.

The PR service and materials are set up to help filmmakers standardize promotional efforts around film festivals, their events and sponsors.

YoungCuts even provides free feedback to officially selected filmmakers for their press releases.

An added benefit of the service to officially selected filmmakers is that they automatically qualify for the YoungCuts submission service which, otherwise, charges $45 to vet films.

About YoungCuts:  Since 2001, YoungCuts' annual film festival has been celebrating the short films made by the world's best young filmmakers. Through its own festival and its film festival customers around the world, YoungCuts identifies the best emerging filmmaking talent and supports their work with a submission service for short films.

The submission service identifies film festivals that want more great short films, then submits films to those festivals on behalf of filmmakers. Filmmakers win more laurels with less effort, and save money. Contact Max Bianchi, Festival Director at 514-285-4591 or max@youngcuts.com for more information.
