2014 YoungCuts Film Festival Submission Form

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

To be eligible for inclusion, the applicant must be 29 years old or under as of December 31st, 2013.
By submitting this form, filmmaker has already paid the applicable submission fee or agrees to pay it promptly.
Filmmakers submit their films to YoungCuts using this online submission form and by sharing their film files with us via Dropbox, Vimeo or any other file sharing services. Do not send your master tape or original.

The use of original music or royalty-free music is strongly recommended but not mandatory for Festival submissions. Please ensure that you have all necessary releases on file, including actors’ releases.
YoungCuts will only select films for the festival that are 30 minutes or less.
Submission fees are non-refundable.
Please submit a separate submission form for each film.
Once entered, films may not be withdrawn from participation at YoungCuts. Applicant permits YoungCuts to retain film files and promotional materials as part of its Festival library.
Submissions accepted for exhibition may be screened one or multiple times at various YoungCuts venues (whether online, in-theatre or in other forms) prior to, during and after the Festival.
Applicant hereby grants YoungCuts the non-exclusive rights to use all or part(s) of the film for promotional purposes; to use stills, biographical material, names and likeness from the film for promotional purposes and in Festival program and merchandise, to provide copies of the film for journalists to review, to show the film at press screenings, to include in festival compilations and to exhibit the film during the Festival and at any time before and after the Festival.
YoungCuts will use its best efforts to ensure the correct title and credits are listed in the Festival program, but shall not be held liable for errors or omissions.
Festival programmers and judges shall determine selections and award winners at their sole discretion.
YoungCuts reserves the right to decide all questions not specifically provided for in the Terms and Conditions.
YoungCuts reserves the rights to adjust dates and times of film screenings without notice. YoungCuts shall not be responsible for delays or cancellations due to equipment failure, shipping delays, or the condition of the films delivered.
If sending a digital copy of your film, via the internet, is impossible, we can accept two DVD screeners and Data DVD with .AVI or .MOV file. This material will not be returned to you. Send the material to:

Do not use Youtube to send us your film. Write in "sent via mail" if this is the case.

Feature My Film Online
I understand that allowing my film to be featured online will increase my chances of being featured at the Festival and that I will be eligible for certain prizes and awards that I would not otherwise be able to win. I used original or public domain music and have all appropriate rights for my film to be played online. I hereby grant YoungCuts a non-exclusive, royalty-free, and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display the film as part of the YoungCuts Film Festival throughout the world in any media for a minimum period of 12 months. I may revoke the right after this term with 30 days written notice to YoungCuts.
Terms and Conditions
By clicking the "Submit" button below, the person submitting the enclosed film to the Festival confirms that he/she holds all necessary rights for the submission and has the legal authority to grant such rights to YoungCuts hereunder and that he/she has read and understands and agrees with the Festival Terms and Conditions. Notwithstanding the foregoing, submission of a film constitutes the agreement with the Festival Terms and Conditions. In consideration of my application to the YoungCuts Film Festival, I for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, hereby waive and forever discharge YoungCuts Film Festival Inc., YoungCuts Inc., any related companies, their officers, directors and employees, Festival sponsors and suppliers, Festival sanctioning bodies and elected or appointed officials, all of their successors and assigns, of and from all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of actions whether in law or equity, in respect of loss or damage to my person or property howsoever caused, arising or said to arise by reason of my participation in the said event. I further hereby undertake to hold and save harmless and agree to indemnify all of the aforesaid from and against any and all liability incurred by any or all of them arising as a result of, or in any way connected with my participation in the said event. BY SUBMITTING THIS APPLICATION, I ACKNOWLEDGE HAVING UNDERSTOOD AND AGREE TO THE ABOVE WAIVER, RELEASE AND INDEMNITY.
