The YoungCuts Film Festival is pleased to announce 2013's Top 100 short films by the world’s best young filmmakers. Lead sponsor TextbookVideos.com presents the films on Saturday, October 19th  at Montreal’s VA-114 Cinema, in the Concordia University VA Building, 1395 René Levesque W. (northwest corner at Crescent St.), Montreal.

YoungCuts thanks its event sponsors TextbookVideos.com, the City of Montréal and the Bureau du cinéma et de la télévision de Montréal for making this event possible!

The Festival opens with a free screening from 7 to 9 PM at Brutopia Brew Pub, Friday, October 18th.  The main event unfolds the next day, Saturday, October 19th, with films screening all day long at Concordia’s VA-114 Cinema.  The first screening begins at 11 AM and the final screening finishes at 11 PM.  Admission is $5 and a full-day pass is $10.  Tickets and passes can be purchased online at www.youngcuts.com

Screenings on Saturday, October 19 th are presented with various themes:

International Teen Films at 11:00 am
Documentary Films at 1:00 pm
Canadian Films Screening 1 at 3:00 pm
Canadian Films Screening 2 at 5:00 pm
International Films at 7:00 pm
Best Of YoungCuts at 9:00 pm

At the conclusion of each screening, the YoungCuts Film Festival will present awards to this year's best filmmakers.  The Festival concludes at 9 PM with the Best of YoungCuts screening that features many of the Festival's best films.

Every year, Festival judges evaluate more than a thousand films from around the world in order to select the Top 100 short films. This year’s Top 100 includes films from 17 countries.

Founded in 2001, the YoungCuts Film Festival is an international film festival that annually selects the best independent short films produced by filmmakers 29 years old and under. This year, the event is presented at the VA-114 Cinema, in the Concordia University VA Building, 1395 René Levesque W.
